Eternal Crusader by Noldofinve Eternal Crusader by Noldofinve
Kaldor Draigo, the Supreme Grand Master of the Grey Knights. I changed his shield for the sake of more interesting form.
Or his shield was destroyed during one of battles and he took another one. ;)

I'm liking this artwork! Kaldor Draigo the mini has a lot of interesting details, and I liked looking between the pictures of him and the one that you've made. I'm liking how your take on Draigo has him looking a bit more worn down. He's got what looks like perhaps rust (they don't paint over their armor, so I guess that might happen with ceramite- or maybe that's dirt?) on his armor, and he's a bit more grizzled and his goatee looks less kept. However, the sword and the book on his hip are both unscatched - either showing how rarely he has to parry an attack with his sword, or how well he fights to keep it in such good condition. Judging by the fact that most of the damage seems to be on the shield, rather than the armor itself, I'd say he's very good at killing his opponents before they even land a hit.

Favorite detail is the missing standard, though. I love how you show that it's cut at an angle - it lets me imagine that Kaldor ducked to dodge a blow aimed at his head, and the blade sliced through the leaning standard instead.

Anytime! I figured that if you put a lot of work into your art, it was only fair to take a bit of time to explain what I like about it.
