My entry for the "My Alter-Ego" contest in Russian Warhammer fan-art LJ community. Captain of the Valhallan Regiment Natana Kaesoron says to Brother-Captain Tursio: "We coul fly by". Dedicated to my friends Ice and Lollia Paulina and to my my husband who showed a lot of patience these days.
Full view please.
"Well, we maybe could fly by..." ...Captain obviously wanted herself sound as "I don't give a damn, just small talk". She flipped the ash off and dragged on cigarette. Her company just twiddled with a black flask stamped imperial eagle, then drew a gulp of "the heating potion", as they Vallhalans preferred to call it. Well, they could. They just didn't. Kind of being over-zealous, huh. His new scars itched and he scratched pensively. The delicate green and the warm flickering lights of the tower trees cornered the scattered debris of what were once a beautiful Gothic temple and a mighty Basilisk. Actually, the latter caught fire somewhere between showering the trees and trying to raze the temple. And still that seemed somehow unnatural. It was them too, who seemed unnatural here, with their uniforms and clad in their freshly scrubbed armour suits, taking council or just a bit of ease, Captain Kaesoron smoking, Brother Captain Tursio brooding on."

That marine... he has an amazing facial expression. Even having spent centuries in service of the Emperor (with the scars to show for it), he still has a childlike smile.
It's images like these that show that, even in the grim darkness of the 41st millennium, there are sunny days. (I got that "sunny days" comment from this image:[link])

I love your image and the 'light' feel to it, makes a refreshing change from other artwork where only darkness prevails, One question tho.. whats in his hand? A remote detonator???..
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
